Buzz Google, a Social Networking Service from Google

Google, finally introduced officially a social networking service, called Google Buzz. This service does not stand alone, but directly integrates with Gmail service which started Tuesday and will gradually be available for Gmail users around the world.

Google Buzz provides features that allow Gmail users can now quickly share messages, website links, and photos with their fellow colleagues Gmail users. Google's call to share ideas because it provides features such as Twitter messages, but without the character limit. It also features photo and video sharing as well as updates from various services that have been used, such as Twitter, Picasa, Flickr, and Google Reader.



This service is also accessible via smartphones, especially the special applications for Android, an open platform developed by Google. Google Buzz also be integrated into the Google Maps service so that users other activities can be seen on the map.

Moreover, according to comScore research, Gmail is an e-mail service, third web-based world's most popular. The number of users in December 2009 reached 176.5 million. Gmail is still under Microsoft's Hotmail and Yahoo e-mail, each of which occupy the first and second positions with the number of users the world 369.2 million and 303.7 million.

This is not the first time Google released a social networking service. In 2004, Google launched Orkut social networking. In contrast to the social networking giants Facebook and MySpace in the, Orkut only managed to reach certain markets of the world, like Google also launched Google's Wave, a new service which is currently limited to new users who were invited.

Similar steps had already been previously carried out Yahoo! eventhough not yet known how much the level of popularity among users Yahoo! Mail. Yahoo! also tried to take the social networking market with the launch of Yahoo!Meme or Yahoo!Mim to Indonesia.

ALEXA: Principles of Mutual Benefits

Who does'nt know ALEXA?? I believe many bloggers put 'her' in their blogs. But, who or what is this ALEXA?? From the blog that belongs to kang Rohman (sorry to quoted without your permission :) ), the ALEXA is a rating form which made by its owner for webs or blogs by seeing the traffics or visits amount to the webs or blogs. The traffics or visits data are based on information from million of internet users that installing Alexa Toolbar in their browser internet .

The Alexa ratings started from first rank (1) to the next rank. The best ranking is the first (1). The lower its Alexa rank, the better the blog's quality. This is inversely with Google Page Rank.

Mobinity.Net: New Social Networking for Cellular

There is new news for Social Networking Site's fancy ....

There was news that a new social networking for special phone users which always mobile will be introduced late by this March. Its name is .... Mobinity.net, a.k.a. mobile community network, specifically designed to take advantage of phone and smartphone features. Model of this networking site is single sign-in. They services include chat, which for the first phase is the Yahoo Messenger and facebook, and followed Friendster and MySpace.



Interesting feature here is the synchronization profile picture on Facebook with friends in the photo on your mobile phone contacts. Thus, images displayed on the caller Facebook will also appear on the screen as Caller ID. Likewise birthdays and important dates can be synchronized with the calendar in the phone.


Another facility is the Locator. So for Mobity.Net users, which supports GPS and cell phone enabled LBS, can find their Facebook friends who was in the same location. Ofcourse their LBS also need to be active. In addition, there are also features of a mobile citizen journalist, where users can take pictures with camera phones, recorded narration, add comments and download it as news to major news portals for Internet users to read and mobinity via phone.

What kind of e-mail is the most widely used by netters? Yup, webmail. It's mo wonder because that account is free, easy to used, and the capacity is chubby enough. Prevent the Internet Explorer Window Closed

Have you ever seen a computer which its IE can't be closed? When you do click a cross button on the right-top side, it's IE has no react. When you click [] > [close], it's also has no react.

What if you want to do the same thing is happen? It's easy. Just follow the steps bellow:


1. Run the Internet Explorer

2. Right click and the click [bar]

3. Right click and the click [buttons]

4. Click [] > [internet options …] and at the Address section, fill the address you want to be shown IE.

5. Closed the Internet Explorer window.

6. Click [] > [Run …}. Type ‘gpedit.msc” ang the press [Enter] to run Policy Editor

7. At Group Policy Editor window, enter into the Computer Policy-User

Configuration-Administrative Templates-Windows Components-Internet

Explorer-Browser menus

8. Double click [menu: Disable closing the browser and Explorer windows]

9. When window is open, click [] from the three choices exist.

10. Click [] > [OK], and then closed the Policy Editor window.


Well, you now open the Internet Explorer. The [] button in right-top window of IE can not be clicked. For further information, this trick automatically will be applicated into Windows Explorer.

Google Help Tracking "Child Predator" on the Internet

The child exploitation cases to the more rampant pornography on the Internet. To track the perpetrators, Google will help facilitating the search for content that contains phonograph of children with special software that developed for that purpose.

According to a research scientist at Google, Shumeet Baluja, in the official blog search site manager, the "child predator" has found a new arena to exploit the child with the Internet. Therefore, he along with the scientists in the Internet industry has tried to build a device to help track child exploitation on the Internet.

As a member of Google's research group, Shumeet realized that NCMEC need assistance in the form of some of the technology research he was doing. NCMEC need help in classifying and making adjustments to the number of pictures and videos sent to him through every week or CyberTipline of law enforcement throughout the country.

With devices that have been built by Google's scientists, NCMEC in the grouping and indexing information and examine pictures and videos of child exploitation more efficient and also develop more effective historical references. Software programs that made Google's going to help NCMEC can quickly and easily access the system when they try to find a file or an image of child pornography involving victims who were handled.

Since its founding in 1984, NCMEC has reported at least 570 thousand cases of child exploitation to law enforcement. Besides Google, formerly Microsoft CETS also developed software (Children Exploitation Tracking System) that helps police network in the world to track the perpetrators of transnational exploitation of children. Software developed by Canadian police has been installed in Australia and the Office of Police of the Republic of Indonesia.

Your Yahoo Mail or Gmail are busy?? Don't be Upset

If our access to mail servers such as Google Mail (Gmail) is very dense, what would you do? Do not be confused, just use Mozilla Thunderbird or Outlook Express.

Thunderbird or Outlook Express can be instructed to retrieve e-mail which into the Inbox of your Gmail account (Google Mail). Just a few parameters in the e-mail client Thunderbird must be set first.

Here are the steps to configure Gmail account and Thunderbird (more or less the same as in Outlook).


1. Activated POP

Activated POP facility first in your Gmail account. Please log into your Gmail account, then click Mail Settings button at the top right of the page. Go to the Forwarding and POP tab (Forwarding and POP / IMAP). Enable the option Activated POP for all mail.Store the settings by clicking Save Changes button.
2. Setting POP at Thunderbird

Account Settings > Add Account.">Open the e-mail client Thunderbird and create a new account by clicking the Tools menu> Account Settings> Add Account. In the first dialog box, select E-mail Accounts, then click Next.In the next dialog box, fill in your name and address of your e-mail in Gmail.

3. . Setting POP at Thunderbird

In the next dialog box, select fill POP and pop.gmail.com in the Incoming Server. Two of the next dialog box you fill with your username and your account name. Click Next, then finish off with a click Finish.

4. Setting POP at Thunderbird

Configuring POP in Thunderbird have not finished yet. Click the Tools menu > Account Settings, then click the name of a Gmail account you just created. Click on the Server Settings. Pop.gmail.com Fill in the Server name. Enable SSL option to randomize the lines of communication with your Gmail mail server and make sure that the port used is 995, and then click OK.

5. Setting SMTP at Thunderbird

Now set the POP to SMTP server (outgoing). Click the Outgoing Server (SMTP), and then click Add. Fill smtp.gmail.com in the Server Name. Enable TLS option to secure your communications with Gmail mail server and make sure the port used is 587. Enable the option Use name and password.If so, click OK.

6. Configuration Test

Now, please pull the e-mail from Gmail to Get Mail button and enter a password to log in to your Gmail account. We'll see, e-mail, e-mail us at Gmail into Thunderbird Inbox.

Once installed, run and give a little YPOPs configuration in the Network. Fill in the value of localhost or the loopback IP, the 127.0.0.1 on the Bind on IP address. Enable SMTP option and enter the value 25 on the SMTP port. If you are finished, click OK.

Next, set up POP in Thunderbird mail client. Add Account.">Create a new account by clicking the Tools menu> Account Settings> Add Account. The order of Yahoo Mail account setup is basically similar to the Gmail account creation. The difference is, on the server name (both POP and SMTP) content with the localhost. Port that is used with the standard (port 110 for POP and port 25 for SMTP). When finished, click.
